Compare idle and busy conditions
Use the same device and game server. Note responsiveness with other traffic paused, then repeat during a controlled download and upload. Avoid saturating a shared office connection during business hours. Record when delay changes rather than relying on one peak download result.
Remove Wi-Fi as a confounding factor
Repeat over Ethernet where possible. If only the wireless test deteriorates, inspect router placement, signal and interference. If both deteriorate when an upload fills the line, queuing may be involved. A different game server or distant region can also change latency, so keep the endpoint consistent.
Consider queue management carefully
Some routers support smart queue management that controls queues near the bottleneck. It must be compatible with the device and configured for the measured connection. It may reduce peak throughput and consume router processing capacity. Ask for supported options rather than installing unfamiliar firmware on an operator-owned router.
Know when a plan change helps
A faster upload allowance may reduce how often an upload saturates the connection, but it does not repair interference or a poor route. For a shared home, first schedule backups and cap heavy transfers. Share timestamps and wired-test observations with support if the issue persists.
Before you request a quotation
- Keep the same device, server and test time where possible.
- Compare idle latency with download and upload load.
- Repeat with Ethernet to separate Wi-Fi issues.
- Discuss supported queue-management settings before upgrading.
Common question
Does bufferbloat mean the connection is always faulty?
No. It describes delay under load and requires diagnosis. Device limitations, local traffic and the wider route can all affect the result.
Local availability and plan terms
For South Delhi, share the building or house, lane, floor, nearby landmark and map pin. Availability is checked for the premises; a service-area name or PIN code alone does not confirm a connection.
Published home plans are 100 Mbps at ₹499/month, 200 Mbps at ₹699/month, 300 Mbps at ₹799/month and 500 Mbps at ₹1,699/month. Confirm current pricing, taxes, billing period and complete first-payment total. Standard installation is advertised free; confirm included work. The dual-band Wi-Fi router is provided against refundable security: ask for the amount and return terms.
Business networking, public IP, IPv6, failover equipment, hosted services and ongoing management are not assumed to be included. Request a written quotation for the required scope. Check the local broadband page or compare current plans.
