Count simultaneous calls
Record the largest realistic number of active calls, including reception and remote meetings. Ask the calling-platform supplier for current requirements for its codec and features. Video, screen sharing and recording uploads add different workloads; do not estimate everything from the number of handsets alone.
Look for variation and interruptions
Jitter, packet loss and delay can disturb calls even when a speed test looks good. Run a normal call with other office traffic paused, then repeat during usual activity. Note the time, device and whether the issue affects one user or the whole office. Test wired headsets and Ethernet where practical.
Keep business traffic organised
Guest Wi-Fi, backups and large media transfers should not unexpectedly fill the link during calls. Ask an administrator about supported traffic management. Do not randomly change SIP-related router settings; follow the calling supplier’s requirements and keep a record of changes.
Plan call continuity
A backup internet line may help staff place new calls after a fault, but an active call can still drop when the external address changes. Test recovery with the actual service. A broadband quotation covers connectivity unless telephony is explicitly included; ask the licensed calling supplier about telephone numbers and calling plans.
Before you request a quotation
- Count calls at the busiest time.
- Check the platform’s own bandwidth and network guidance.
- Compare wired and wireless calls.
- Test how calling recovers after a connection failure.
Common question
Do I need a leased line for every internet phone?
Not automatically. Choose service commitments and capacity around call volume and the cost of interruption, then test the application.
Local availability and plan terms
For Westend Marg, share the building or house, lane, floor, nearby landmark and map pin. Availability is checked for the premises; a service-area name or PIN code alone does not confirm a connection.
Published home plans are 100 Mbps at ₹499/month, 200 Mbps at ₹699/month, 300 Mbps at ₹799/month and 500 Mbps at ₹1,699/month. Confirm current pricing, taxes, billing period and complete first-payment total. Standard installation is advertised free; confirm included work. The dual-band Wi-Fi router is provided against refundable security: ask for the amount and return terms.
Business networking, public IP, IPv6, failover equipment, hosted services and ongoing management are not assumed to be included. Request a written quotation for the required scope. Check the local broadband page or compare current plans.
