Separate public, private and static addresses
CGNAT allows an operator to share public IPv4 connectivity among subscribers. A public address and a static address describe different properties: a public address can change, while a static service has agreed address persistence. A static address inside a private network does not by itself make a service reachable from the internet.
Check the application rather than a label
Ordinary browsing can work behind CGNAT, while some inbound connections need another arrangement. A game reporting strict NAT does not prove that every issue is caused by the ISP; a second router can introduce another translation layer. Give support the actual application and error instead of asking only for more Mbps.
Ask for the full public-IP specification
Confirm whether public IPv4 is available on the selected connection, whether it is static or dynamic, which inbound services are permitted and what it costs. Ask whether router configuration is included. Fiber Link’s residential public-IP and CGNAT arrangements must be confirmed for the particular quotation; this article does not promise a CGNAT-free plan.
Keep remote access controlled
Use an authenticated, maintained remote-access method appropriate to the application. Do not expose a storage device or camera administration page merely to test reachability. For an office allowlist, agree the address and change procedure with the application administrator before activating the rule.
Before you request a quotation
- Describe the exact application and inbound-access need.
- Ask separately about public addressing and static addressing.
- Confirm charges, permitted ports and router support.
- Use access controls and keep administration interfaces private.
Common question
Will a static IP automatically reduce gaming ping?
No. Address persistence does not guarantee a better route, lower latency or freedom from packet loss. Diagnose those separately.
Local availability and plan terms
For South Delhi, share the building or house, lane, floor, nearby landmark and map pin. Availability is checked for the premises; a service-area name or PIN code alone does not confirm a connection.
Published home plans are 100 Mbps at ₹499/month, 200 Mbps at ₹699/month, 300 Mbps at ₹799/month and 500 Mbps at ₹1,699/month. Confirm current pricing, taxes, billing period and complete first-payment total. Standard installation is advertised free; confirm included work. The dual-band Wi-Fi router is provided against refundable security: ask for the amount and return terms.
Business networking, public IP, IPv6, failover equipment, hosted services and ongoing management are not assumed to be included. Request a written quotation for the required scope. Check the local broadband page or compare current plans.
